Septimus Heap World
And all the people and places in it.
Hi to everyone who would like to spend a little more time in the Septimus Heap world—this is for you. I’m planning to head off to all the places you’d like to revisit (and some you’d rather not—at least, not in the dark.) And we’re going to catch up with just about everyone along the way.
Huge thanks to Mark Zug for his creation of so many iconic Septimus images and for giving me permission to use them here. Also for allowing me to colour some of his pencil images—which I have so loved doing. This one below is, of course, completely Mark Zug. From the cover of The Magykal Papers.
Every week I am going to take a random page from one of the seven Septimus Heap books and see where it takes us. I’ve got my fave set of books ready and waiting to go. Here they are below, the original USA edition without their covers. All much loved, battered and some of them have travelled around the USA with me on whirlwind-wonderful author tours. The covers by Mark Zug are breathtaking, iconic, but I also love the plain coloured boards that lurk beneath with their contrasting spines and the impressed symbol on them. Thank you, Katherine Tegen and HarperCollins US, for taking so much care with these books and making them so beautiful. What a Magykal time we all had creating them …

So excited for this! 💜
